How is IPO GMP calculated?
It is not calculated from any official book. Grey-market dealers quote a premium (a rupee amount over the issue price) at which unlisted shares change hands before listing, and aggregators report those quotes. We show each figure with the number of independent sources behind it and its timestamp, because an unsourced, undated GMP is worth very little.
